They said the libs had crossed the line by stealing the election

They were mad as hell

But since I’d known these fellas all my life
Their anger really took me by surprise

I heard them talking ‘bout a civil war
I said “I’m pretty sure you don’t know what that means
Do you really want to try to hurt your neighbor?
Over CRT, the lie and the vaccines?
And when you talk about a Civil War
A lot of folks you know are gonna die
How can you talk about a Civil War
And look me in the eye?

And before you move ahead
You’d better think about your cause
I’m pretty sure you care more about your football team
Than you care about race or gun laws
And does caring for that unborn child
Mean that you’ll try to kill your friends and family?
Do you care more about your politics than you care about humanity?

Ain’t nothin civil ‘bout a civil war
I’m pretty sure that’s something you don’t want to do
Have you forgot that while you’re fixing your sights on your neighbor
He might have his sights set on you
And it might be good to spend more time worrying about your own
Instead of everybody else’s sins
Because the thing about Civil War is no one really wins.

Over who gets to use which restroom?
Or the color of your neighbor’s face?
Think about it long and hard
